Meet Salt & Seed
We are a professional chef couple who love what we do. Over the last 12 years we have dedicated ourselves to a cooking career that has taken us across New Zealand and the UK. We have now settled in Natacha's home town in the sunny Bay of Islands.
Salt and Seed Private Dining is a business
we opened together to showcase our own style of food and service, highlighting the finest quality producers and artisans that the Bay of Islands and Northland has to offer.
Over the past 10+ years Chris & Natacha have honed their skills in some of the U.K's best restaurants, with several years spent in 2 & 3 Michelin-starred restaurants.

All our food is hand-made and prepared in-house using the freshest locally grown ingredients that reflect the season and celebrate the best Northland has to offer.
At Salt & Seed we believe in the power of quality ingredients to create exceptional dining experiences. By having our own garden and small orchard we are able to produce some of the ingredients you can see in our menus.
Our commitment to supporting local farmers means that we prioritise using the freshest seasonal produce, enhancing the taste and nutritional value of our dishes.
Additionally, our own chickens provide us with eggs of the highest quality, guaranteeing that our menus are filled with wholesome and delicious ingredients.
